PERHAPS IT WAS DESTINY THAT I WAS BORN INTO THE FITT FAMILY. I HAVE THIS DRIVE TO SHARE MY LOVE OF FITNESS, HEALTH, NUTRITION, AND LIFELONG LEARNING, AND I AM FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO LIVE MY LIFE WITH MY NAME BEARING MY PASSION.
I am a busy mom of three who loves the rush and stress relief that exercise provides, and I’m intent on fueling my body with the cleanest, healthiest foods possible. I teach high school physical education, indoor cycling classes at a local gym, am an avid yogi, and above all, a health and fitness advocate. Health, wellness, and fitness are who I am almost every waking hour.
MY WORLD CAME CRASHING DOWN WITH MY BREAST CANCER DIAGNOSIS IN MARCH 2014…
I’M GOING TO BE OKAY. I’M SURE OF IT. BUT I AM NOT THE SAME PERSON I WAS PRE-DIAGNOSIS. AFTER A DOUBLE MASTECTOMY AND ONGOING RECONSTRUCTION, I HAVE SUCH A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON HEALTH, NUTRITION, AND FITNESS. I’VE THROWN MYSELF INTO READING AND STUDYING ABOUT HOLISTIC WAYS TO HEAL THE BODY FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
I WANT TO SHARE WHAT I’VE LEARNED WITH ANYONE WHO WILL HEAR ME.
I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO “ONE RIGHT ANSWER”—HEALTH IS SUCH AN INDIVIDUAL THING-- SO I WELCOME YOU TO TAKE THIS JOURNEY RIGHT ALONG WITH ME, LEARN AND GROW WITH ME, AND TOGETHER MAKE LIFE THE BEST EXPERIENCE IT CAN BE.

Fun little facts
*I love to binge-watch tv series on netflix. I admit, my favorite date with the hubs is takeout dinner and snuggling on the couch watching several episodes of our latest show.
*I’m a friendly introvert. I love people but i also love my alone time.
*I’m a land-locked California girl. I crave the energy and vibe of the ocean. In my mind i’m still the bikini-wearing beach bum i used to be.
*I love my furry friends. we always have several animals in the house, whether we’re dog-sitting our granddogs or taking care of our own #luckydog and his sister #trouble.
*I don’t work out for hours a day. i rest more than once a week. It is possible to be fitter and leaner without spending hours in the gym.
*If i pick up a good book, i can’t put it down. I get so drawn in that the world could come crashing down and I wouldn’t know. This is why I have to ration the books I have access to. Three of my favorites are the spirit catches you and you fall down by anne fadiman; quiet by Susan Cain, and complications By atul gawande,
*I compile all my own spinning playlists and workouts. It’s possible for me to work hours on one 60-minute class.
*I’m afraid of heights, and yet I face my fear every day as I teach adventure education to my high school students. Rock climbing, rappelling, zipping, and swinging are all in a day’s work.
*I wear my heart on my sleeve. what you see is what you get. No secrets. No drama. No judgement. We’ll get along great if you’re the same way.
*I was extremely healthy before my cancer diagnosis. I had none of the risk factors (smoking, drinking, obesity, poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, family history, etc.). I foolishly believed it couldn’t happen to me.
*i met my husband when i was 10 years old. We still like each other after all of these years.
*I am super-disciplined when it comes to nutrition, exercise, and self-care, but in other areas of my life I’m a bit more free-spirited. (Don’t look at the mess that is my home office…)
*I honestly care about making a difference in your life. I want to help you be the strongest, healthiest, happiest person you can be.
